August became September, but the heather still looks gorgeous. After a great photography workshop two days ago, I went out for a long run around Baysdale. Running shoes, an orange and the Panasonic Lumix LX5.

The smell of the heather was intense, with clouds of pollen pouring off the Moors. The honey bees were making the most of the heather as a merlin quartered over Baysdale Moor. There was almost no wind and at 22 deg Celsius, it was perfect for running ~ one of those rare days on the Moors. I didn’t see a soul…
